My patience ada limit. So does Dear's.
Somehow or rather, we are having a little trouble with the kids mother and stepdad. First of all, I'm hearing things about the mother wanting us to take care of one of the girls. Reason is, "Susahlah nak jaga dia orang. Asyik melawan aje abih bila time belajar asyik copy each other..." Whereas the stepdad pulak nak suruh kita amik dua2 nya sekali. Reason dia bagi lagi bagus, "Dia orang asyik fail je. Pegi tuisyen pun takde improvement. Kalau Siti jaga lebih baik, Irfan pun taklah fail aje..."(Mentang2 dah ada anak SDN Berhad, cari alasan nak tepis anak tiri) And the 'foundation' of the SDN Berhad dah masuk 2 tahun(nasib baik 2 tahun, comel lak tu kalau tak, takkan dapat kita punya sympathy).
Apa tak Irfan tak fail. Cuba bayangkan, memang my Kiddo tu bukannya sebijak mana but i believe with strong guidance and the attitude of ambik kisah, he will do well. I don't expect him to pass with flying colors like how the Chinese would normally want from their kids. For me, asalkan dia ada put on effort to study and the least pass above the average marks pun dah cukup bagus. Kiddo is very weak in Maths and to be frank the educational system now sucks. Coming back to Maths, do you remember any module solving during our time? Ans is NO. It's a whole long step and for my Kiddo's slow IQ, it's even more stressful for him when i step in to explain(al maklum bila pat study nih tikus boleh jadik rimau). Yelah, kalau kita yang baca, senanglah untuk fahamkan. And ever since P1 i ever tried to teach him my simple method. What i got back from the teachers was quite a suprising comment. "Dear Irfan's mother, i'm very happy to know that he have a very supportive environment to start with in his weakess subject but sadly, i would like to highlight to you that though, your teaching methods are deemed correct at the point of marking, we would appreciate if you could switch to module solving instead as what they are learning in their text. If you need more help on how to guide your child in his studies, we have programmes especially for teaching parents like yourself. For more information on this, you may want to approach the teacher in-charge. With your guidance and his learning in school, i strongly believe Irfan will excel progressively..." And thanks to his teacher, i started schooling as well. Each time i would go through his text to equip myself better so i can apply to Kiddo. Indeed, with my understanding in his school work and with his supplementary classes at school, it help him a lot. And with all that throughout, i was a proud mummy for 2 years consecutively (this 1st semester jangan point. That one purposely let him fail).
But for 'them' pulak, it's different. dah takde guidance at home satu hal. Ada supplementary class for the girls to attend at school tak allow. Instead, buang duit hantar the girls pegi private tuisyen. Itulah yang Dear kata, "Wah! Kaya, kaya, kaya! Duit nafkah orang bagi pegi buang kat tuisyen. Itu pun tak pandai2..." Some teachers kata kekadang ada logiknya. For Kiddo's example. his teacher ever once told me that not all private tuitions are reliable. Methods taught by the tutors is something all parents need to be aware of. At the end of the day, you want to make sure that they understand what they have learn. And it's worst for those whose parents just leave everything to the tutors to teach especially for the not bright ones to start with. Kalau budak tu dah pandai, lainlah kan. I don't mind at all if the girls kena campak to us. We accept with open arms. In future kalau bill melambung after that pun takpe, asal budak2 happy tinggal with me.
All i'm hoping for after my sacrifices and unconditional love to these childrens whom i do not bore, is that they will grow up and will come to their understanding how much i do love them as my very own because i really wish to put an end to all this about who's having who and who's staying with who. I want us to be a family without one having to be here and the other two to be at another... *sigh* |
