Something 'PERSONAL'
Hi! My name is Tan Gumpy. I'm Hers Truly 'PERSONAL' Assistant. She can't live without me, and She will never go and do without me. Not that She really depend on me, but i just help to keep Her dry. Ehemm... I think, that's too PERSONAL to get there.

I'm not always this skinny. I'm normally covered with cotton-like clothes, like the ones on my head. That's about to go too if, She has to go. Most of the times, i'll be chuck un-handsomely in Her Ooohhh-s0-messy drawer.

And when She's feeling lazy, that's where my assistance comes in.

I have to help Her reply Her email correspondence lah, do quotations lah and this update pon i have to do...

Now, i'm trying to figure out Her schedule for installation and sorts. Haiz...

At times, when i try to hide from Her...

Because... other than doing Her paperwork and stuffs, i become a Tea-Lady. Have to make Her a drink and whatever shits lah. An today, She feels like drinking Horlicks. Phhhoooiii!!!

Oooppss!!! There's a phone call. "Yes, hello, Good Morning. Who? Siti? Siti is busy now. Who am I? I'm Grumpy Tan the Toilet Roll. Don't know?!! You everyday use me also you don't know ah?!!" *Slams the phone*

Some people are best hanged up than hanged on... That's about the shitty stuffs that i have to do for Her lor. So now, "Everyone Will Know What She Did Last Summer!!!" She does nothing the whole day but camwhoring as usual. Especially these days when Hers Truly Boss is out of town.

I'm a PERSONAL stuffs, but i'm being shared sometimes among colleagues. She really have to keep me to herself to make me really PERSONAL.

CamWhores!!!

A quick note:

Dear Mr Tan Gumpy,

There is no such thing as PERSONAL anymore. Even Watson Your Personal Store is no longer PERSONAL as everyone gets to know what I buy over the counter...

Love;

Yours Truly....

My Parents 33rd Anniversary
Yesterday was the day my parents got married and they were blessed with 3 offsprings.

I got a call from Doink saying that mum's not cooking and will be eating out, hence asking me to join along. I have totally forgotten about their Big Day if not for Doink (but apparently, Doink forgot about it too...) and not to mention Frat - someone who also do not know anything...

So we had dinner at Toa Payoh's HDB Hub - Fork & Spoon. My Mum and Dad, lil Sarah, Kiddo, Hubby, Doink, Frat and Yours Truly... It's a small family affair but it was obviously a joyous dinner.

To Mama and Papa, Happy 33rd Anniversary. May you have many many more years like this ahead. Love you both alot. Mmmuuaaahhhh!!!!

Do You Love Your Man Or Just Lust After Him?
What better way to answer this question...

It's 60% Love and 40% Lust

You and your guy are hot for one another, but you've also got a bit of a love thing going on.

Action Speaks Louder - As Frat Would Say It

One at a time please... First thing first, coming into the empty office has been usual. Boss is always not around until lunchtime. IT Manager is scheduled in and out of office whenever he needs to. Leaving me alone in the office managing the calls and all other paperworks. Today, i have loads to clear for some projects. Mc Connell Dowell, an Australian based company has big orders to get me settled with no lunch. Bulls!!! Lunch is anytime at my liberty. I AM my boss's secretary!

Let's go through the quotes and the confirmed purchase order of network systems and lines for this Sentosa IR Project. Hmmm... Looks like somethings not right here.

Arrrrggghhhh!!! No resources at Sentosa??!!! And they need to move in site full swing before National Day!!! Cabling takes ages for SingTel contractor to get the patch up done. Gawd!!!

I have got to get this straighten up. Ms Inez Clement, MIS Manager for this company that i have been managing is a nice lady. But if she were to hear that her Sentosa Project is going to get hault up by some unmotivated labourers who take their own sweet time to patch up the copper cables, she's going to be pissed!!!

Errggh... Just how am i going to pacify her that everything will come close as scheduled? Boss is unreachable at some Pulau Bukom or Pulau Ular for a meeting. That's another big project... Well, hell! I'm just going to give Inez a call myself then.

And Gawd!!! My supplier is raising their price on me. Damn you Poh. Damn you!

I had enough of this hiccups. I shall hand over this price increase to my Boss and let him deal with our supplier accordingly. Too much ah this Poh! Ahhh... i'm going to have my booze now.

Caffeine is the only thing that keeps me saint. When i'm all stressed up, this mug and it's content gives me the boost to start the day all fresh again. Boss's not back yet? Hmmm...

I'll take a peek at this gossip mag first then and shall get back to work later, till he stepped in.

So, what's your excuse for not doing yours?!!

He's Home
My dad is finally backed from Indonesia today. A trip he made alone to visit my relatives who are still stuck there at Bawean Island with no possibilities of migrating due to documentation problems.

>>Bawean is an island of Indonesia located approximately 200 km north of Surabaya in the Java Sea. The name comes from Sanskrit which means "there is sunlight". It is approximately 15 km in diameter and is circumnavigated by a single narrow road. Bawean is dominated by an extinct volcano at its center that rises over 650 m above sea level. The islands population is around 65,000. Approximately 40,000 live in the capital of Sangkapura and the rest live in small villages scattered around the island.<<

I'm lucky I have been there to at least visit and see their lifestyle. I only wished they turn back their wishes and hopes of ever leaving their peaceful land. A land with no worries, no stress, no racism, no bills and best, no expectations. They may have to toil their lives planting and pruning and toggling hard work to earn a living, but hey, everyone there owns either their own land or bungalows. Yes! Land and bungalows. Land of padi fields, crops and vegs. House made of stone though barely furnished inside. Their pedestrian pavements are covered with marbles. MARBLES STONES!!! Which of course here, is a costly damn tile to even build for your flooring depending on the grade of the marbles. Their ash trays are even made of Marbles and so are their side table, the body of their bedside lamp, wall mirror and much more... What do we own other then a luxurious car? We live in a crampy HDB full of bills, debts and taxes! The air we breathe in is beginning to get more and more toxic with the mass of pollutants everywhere.

There, the air is fresher, like you've never breathe before. The land is greener like you've never seen before. No refinineries, industries and heavy machineries. The place where my relatives are calling it their home is an island tad bigger than our country land. You travel by a 3hr ferry from Surabaya, Indonesian. The ferry only departs from Gresik terminal to Sangkapura terminal (Bawean) on Wednesdays and from Sangkapura to Gresik on Sundays. Any other day, you have to ride on a fishing tongkang with no more than 20 pax, cramping together like sardines riding the rough Java Sea for a journey of 8hrs long. I can't imagine taking that ride. Even on a 3hrs big ferry is long enough to get me nauseated throughout. 8hrs on tongkang? Never mind, thank you.

The best of my visit to my aunts there was the 45min 4-wheel drive to the waterfalls. I think it's called the Teraga Kastoba, a Crater Lake, which to some believed that if you swim in it, you will become cursed and die. No, I didn't swim and never did try to dismiss any folklore... Just a leg dipped in the water.

Teraga Kastoba - Crater Lake

Trekking up is of course needed to get to the better part of it and mind you, it wasn't an easy walk up the river. But it was well worth it and the rest of my families and Yours Truly really enjoyed it. Other best moments is like having lost our way in padi fields, going through a larger than life Bull that so happen to be grazing on our path and nobody, not even my big sized uncle dares to shoo it away because of its larger than us size. Hilarious but wholesome fun!

There are loads to share about on that trip of mine but that's pretty much I can relate for now. I'm just glad my dad is back safely as he wasn't too well when he left. He got the whole family worrying for him that throughout his trip, we never stop calling him to ask how he's been doing and sort. Will be dropping by my Mum's to have a peek at my dad today and see what goodies he had brought back home for us.

Next year, if God's willing, I will make a trip back there if my dad is going again. That time round, I’ll bring my hubby along to get a taste of nature with 'hand-catch' steamed fish, 'backyard' fried chicken and 'you-just-had-a-pat' lamb chop on the menu. Hehehe... I think, I won't let him lose his appetite. I'll just keep mum about the whereabouts of his food supplies...
